The JDO Foundation is a non-profit organization in Denver, Colorado whose mission is to provide an enriched educational experience for schools by providing state of the art technologies, and the professional training to the educators managing these technologies.” They hope to unlock the doors of education through the use of technology in a global collaboration project. JDO have worked successfully with schools in Colorado and have now extended their work in digital education to Ireland, Northern Ireland and the U.K..

Presentation Primary Georges Hill have been lucky enough to be selected to take part in this global collaboration project. It is a project that will run for a period of three years and it’s aim is to enhance the ICT skills of the pupils and teachers involved in with these new technologies through global collaboration. This is a wonderful opportunity for our pupils to learn through the use of technology but also to see how their modern day pen pals in Colorado are learning also.

As part of the project JDO have provided IPads for all classes from 3rd to 6th as these are the classes who will be taking part in this project.

We as a school are delighted to have been chosen for this project and are looking forward to the sharing of our projects with our partner schools in Colorado.
