Lots of fun during Maths Week

cropped-crest12.jpgIn first class we were very busy working on our 3D structures which we found out to be quite tricky. Firstly we began with skewers and marshmallows but we found out this was too difficult so we changed our project to cocktail sticks and blu-tac. This made the structures stand better. We had lots of fun, discussed shapes and had to work out how to do things. We also took part in riddles for the week and we entered a Maths Eye Competition. We visited the Junior Maths Board too, it looks great. We invited parents into our room on Friday afternoon to show them how we play maths games. Both the children and the parents had so much fun. We hope to do this again later in the year.
